Team Ranbir's random thoughts on Impulse, games bought and played from it and blank.

Is there(Has there been) any interest in having a collaborative Demo-game of GalCiv2? Guiding our custom empire to a place in galactic history!

Some Civ players may already be familiar with how a democracy game works. I was thinking it may be fun to try it for GC2.

Is anyone interested?

Took me a moment to figure out what you were talking about, but I did figure it out.

For anyone who didn't: Play a game of GCII by committee.  Posting it, most likely, in the AAR section, and having participants vote on the next course of action.  At least that's my best read of it.

Sounds like a hoot.  I'd like to participate, and could be convinced to be the actual player if needed.

Ok! One on board!

sounds good to me.. I'm just not entirely sure how it works, will be it be turn by turn? or after a series of turns?

An indirect Multiplayer option that can even be "played" on a LAN by a group of interlinked participants would only mean one thing; Metaverse, as we know it, is dead!

It's nevertheless a noble project to undertake... complex, and yet feasible.

Ok, the quoting doesn't work. Keeps quoting the first comment.

@sqwalnoc - Probably a handful of turns each peg, with a sitrep every few days.

I don't envision this to be as well organised or structured as those on CivFanatics, possibly just settling on a player following majority decisions on questions put to the community. And possibily a rotation period of player, as well.

what is GalCivII?

The game whose web forum you're posting on? At least that's how it looks to me.

If you're in some other part of Stardock-land, Galactic Civilizations II is a TBS game developed by Stardock. The front page of the game's site is here.
